The SPADS R/C Club has been active in Enid for more than thirty-five years.  The current flying field has been in use for approximately twenty–five years.  The club leases 3 acres of prime wheat farmland about 1 mile northeast of Enid.  The field has a 25 x 175 foot paved runway and the grass is maintained as well as many golf courses.  Our field complies with AMA safety guidelines, with flight stations and barrier netting.  Five tables are available for ease of model assembling.  Frequency control is strictly enforced by use of frequency board and pins.  A covered picnic table, chairs and enclosed heated shed provides shade in the summer and warmth in the winter.  A port-a-potty is on site.  All roads to the field are paved with only a 100-yard gravel drive to the field parking area.  This is a private flying site maintained by the club and the gate is locked when not in use.   Out of town flyers and spectators are always welcomed.  All flyers must have a current AMA card in their possession in order to fly their models at the field.  We have no known frequency conflicts.  Out of town flyers/visitors may contact Rich Richardson 580-237-7351 or jwrich@intercorp.com  for access to the field.  So next time you are tagged to go to the Mother-in-law’s for a visit, bring a plane, you will be welcomed.
